  Welcome to my website! My name is Lauren Mas. As a Reiki Master/Teacher in the Usui Tradition as well as a Karuna Reiki® practitioner, I offer Reiki sessions and classes as a step toward healing the individual and thus, a step towards healing our precious planet. I now accept appointments at Spirit Matters in Ellington, CT, just minutes off Interstate 84 or 91. (see the Appointments page for details and Gift Certificate info) ******************************************************************************************************************** As we work towards wellness, we often become more aware of feelings of peace and contentment throughout the day. I liken this to the time of stillness as the sun is rising in the morning - it holds such peace and hope as well as beauty. As we continue our healing journey we are able to notice more of the light in the world and within ourselves. I am honored to be a part of individual healing for each person and animal I work with; whether it be on a physical, emotional/mental or spiritual level. I am humbled by Reiki and its ability to complement medical or other therapies in a gentle, never harmful and non-invasive manner. My Reiki sessions with animals take place at the animal's home or barn for their comfort and feeling of security. I also offer Distance Treatments for animals who fear strangers or in emergency situations when getting there in person is not possible. Please see the Reiki for Animals page for more information about animal Reiki. For people, I include soothing music and therapeutic aromas for all sessions. Reiki creates a sense a deep relaxation where healing can take place. People have reported a reduction or ceasing of pain, more restful sleep, reduced anxiety and other positive effects during and after a Reiki treatment. I am fully insured and a member of the International Association of Reiki Professionals and the International Natural Healers' Association as well as a registered member of the International Center for Reiki Training. I hold a B.S. degree in Psychology from Springfield College, where balancing Spirit, Mind & Body has been the philosophy since 1885. Thank you for visiting Morning Sun Reiki! Share your light!
